Special Dean's Forum - The Chicago Fire
October 11, 2021
On our Feast of Dedication, this Sunday, October 17, at 10 a.m., we welcome historian Sally Kalmbach who will give a special Dean's Forum on the Chicago Fire. As we mark our 187th anniversary as a worshipping community, we will hear of the role that the early founders and families of St. James played in the founding of our city, and their remarkable response to this pivotal event in the life of our city and our church.
Sally has been designing and giving walking tours in the city for 15 years. She has taught classes in Chicago history at the Newberry Library, and has given numerous speeches and customized tours for individuals and small groups. Her expertise and ability to present material in an accessible, yet informative manner have resulted in a loyal following. Sally is the author of two books about Chicago history and we are thrilled to have her!
