Beau Surratt

Beau Surratt (email) recently joined the Cathedral staff as Associate for Administration and Executive Assistant to the Dean. He has served congregations in the Diocese of Chicago in administrative, communications, operations, and music roles since 2007. The ministry of building and strengthening the administrative infrastructure needed to support vibrant, growing congregations is one of the passions that Beau brings to his role at St. James. A graduate of Elmhurst University, Beau has also engaged in theological studies at Bexley Seabury and Garrett Evangelical seminaries and nonprofit management studies at North Park University and the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He lives in Evanston with his husband Steve and their young tuxedo cat Thor, and when he isn't involved in something church-related, you'll usually find Beau enjoying his growing fountain pen collection, hunting for the best Carolina-style barbecue in Chicago, or planning his next trip to Walt Disney World.
