Ascension Day, Thursday, May 5, 6:30 p.m.
April 13, 2016
Traditionally celebrated on a Thursday, the fortieth day of Easter, Ascension Day commemorates the Ascension of Jesus into heaven. It is one of the universally celebrated feasts of Christian churches, ranking with the feasts of the Passion, of Easter, and Pentecost.
Join us for a Choral Eucharist that includes Herbert Howells' Collegium Regale setting of the Gloria, Sanctus, Benedictus, and Agnus Dei, and Orlando Gibbons' O Clap Your Hands.
