All Souls Requiem

October 05, 2022

“Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.”

All are welcome to join in prayer at St. James Cathedral as we mark All Souls by sharing in the Eucharist and recalling before God all those we have loved and see no longer. Through the pain of loss in these uncertain times, we rejoice to once again be able to come together to name those loved ones for whom we still grieve.

On Wednesday, November 2, at 6:30 p.m. we will celebrate the feast of All Souls' Day with a sung Requiem Eucharist. At this service we read, as part of the Prayers of the People, the names of those whom we have loved and who have died, entrusting them once again to God's loving embrace. The Cathedral Choir will sing Fauré's Requiem.

Call for Names: If you would like to submit names to be read, please submit this form and kindly provide any necessary pronunciation guidance.

This service is best experienced in person, but will also be live-streamed.
